Staff assists our participants with any physical, medical or memory challenges that may have diminished their independence. Caregivers also benefit when they use Adult Day Services. It offers the opportunity to continue to work, run the family household or just relax. CARES Volunteers at the CARES Senior Centers make weekday telephone calls to designated seniors to monitor their safety and provide social/psychological support. Families and caregivers can have the reassurance of knowing that someone will be checking on their loved ones, during this pandemic, on a regularly scheduled basis. Many people in our community are overwhelmed with their circumstances and tasks such as cleaning and garbage removal can quickly spiral out of control. With no friends or family to help, their situation can become very desperate. CHORE protects vulnerable adults from living in unsafe and unhealthy conditions.
